io.finnet and Metavisio – THOMSON to Launch Decentralized, Quantum-Secure PCs with North American Listing Target in 2025

London, November 18th, 2024io.finnet Group, a leading Web3 technology firm specializing in blockchain and cybersecurity, and Metavisio – THOMSON Computing, a French computing leader, have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to establish a 50/50 joint venture. This partnership aims to introduce the world’s first Web3-ready computers by 2025, designed to deliver advanced cryptographic security, decentralized infrastructure, and innovative solutions to global technological challenges.

This joint venture emerges as the demand for secure, decentralized technologies grows. The planned Web3-ready computers will feature a Web3 operating system and multiparty computation (MPC) cryptography, offering unparalleled protection against quantum computing threats and addressing concerns around digital sovereignty. These devices will empower users with full control over their data and digital identities while enhancing security for decentralized finance, applications, and other next-generation technologies.

“Partnering with io.finnet lets us reimagine the PC industry with the first Web3-native computers. This historic collaboration will solidify France’s place as a hub for digital innovation,” said Stephan Français, CEO of Metavisio – THOMSON Computing.

The joint venture is also setting its sights on a North American stock market listing in 2025, a move intended to amplify its global reach and attract investors looking to support transformative projects. With the Web3 market projected to grow to $81.5 billion by 2030, alongside the $244 billion global hardware market, this initiative positions France as a critical player in the future of computing.

“This joint venture is a game-changer. By combining our expertise, we’re poised to redefine how the world interacts with technology and propel our JV to the forefront of Web3 leadership,” said Gregory Pepin, CEO of io.finnet.

The roadmap for this ambitious project includes finalizing legal agreements by January 2025, strategic pre-IPO fundraising to accelerate development, and a global market launch. By engineering devices with integrated cryptographic security and decentralized frameworks, io.finnet and Metavisio – THOMSON aim to compete directly with multi-billion-euro industry leaders.
